About Me

My name is Renske Visser and I am a Medical Anthropologist interested in ageing, dying and death. My research has looked at parental bereavement in young adulthood in the Netherlands, homemaking in later life and ageing in secure mental health care in England and cancer care in English Prisons. I have several part time roles; I work as a Consular Officer at the Embassy of the Netherlands, I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Oulu, researching death and children and, lastly, I am a Dutch language teacher at NTC Polaris.
